Hello!
A little over a month has passed with no updates to the game with winter holidays and Christmas all around, I'd like to introduce one major final update for the game this year.
I've been working on a bunch of new features and weapons, some changes in the game, fixes and a lot more.
Starting of with:
Modified Weapons
- “Classic Revolver” replaced by “Lawful Pistol”.
- “Magnum Handgun” becomes “Laser Sight Pistol”.
- “Compensated Pistol” becomes “Compensated Handgun”.
- “Vintage Machine Gun” becomes “Bipod Machine Gun”.
- “Cyclic Fusion Gun” becomes “Cyclic Fusion Gun”.
- Changed and improved sprite for “Laser Rifle”.
- “Cluster Grenades” attack now splits physically into smaller bomblets.
Aesthetics
- Trash added as ground noise in Level 1.
- Added graffities on the walls of the first level.
- Added garbage cans and bags in the first level.
- Added steaming drain grates in the floor of the first level.
- Added a couple of taxis parked in the middle of the first level areas to enhance the city aesthetics (while adding a little extra cover).
Features
- Show also messages for failed contracts at the end of the level.
- Undo selection functionality: While in the station pressing Esc/Pause will send you directly back to player selection instead of pausing the game.
- Added a new weapon category to allocate all starting weapons and unlockable starting weapons.
- Added a noise system to improve the level's ground aesthetic.
- Multiple weapon balancing.
- Show difference between two weapons stats with one bar followed by symbols “+ - ” instead.
- The player is now allowed to trigger automatic interactions like opening a chest or walking on top of a pickup even if on fire.
Fixes
- Fixed a couple of upgrades missing their right sprite in the archive entries.
- Fixed a graphical bug where the left arm weapon of dual weapons could be seen if going prone with the detective.
- Fixed incorrect configuration in the power gauntlet left weapon leading to a bad tooltip when inspecting it and to the chance of picking the left version of the ground which is not meant to happen.
- Fixed the player being able to carry with him the battle rifle after the tutorial.
- Fixed damage numbers option not working.
- Fixed boss intros option not working.
- Fixed a situation where if moving too fast through the agent abilities description the tooltip would show a previous text instead of the last one highlighted.
- Fixed D-pad input from the gamepad not working correctly.
- Fixed incorrectly displayed default key binding for Compare and Previous weapon.
- Reduced the changes of an enemy getting stuck on a prop significantly.
- Fixed a situation where the body of an enemy will have some visual jittery.
- Improved the alignment of text prompts in the agent description and the skin's menu so the text reads more clearly.
- Added a system to return any enemy that has been pushed out of the map.
- Fixed a situation where the fifth level will not load and the game will stay stuck in a black screen.
- Fixed beams crossing enemies when shooting right on top of the enemy with weapons that have a long barrel.
- Fixed the sound of Cyborg’s attack ability so it does not continue playing after dying.
- Fixed multiple bugs related to agent abilities by finishing abilities when the agent either dies or leaves the level.
